luxons and kurzicks - Guild Wars Forums

ok, being new to factions i dont completely understand the luxons and kurzicks thing. i was just wondering if you guys could tell me a little bit about how it works. like are all guilds either luxon or kurzick, or is it each individual character. How does each faction work, and how do you become one, can you switch once you've decided... etc... Please just write all the info you can to help me, thanks.

Obviously this is only helpful if the search function is working.

Why are you telling people to use things you've never even tried before?
There is no search

Search function gets disabled when the serverload is too high.
Instead, you get the googlesearch which is inferior imo since it won't have any way to sort results unless you're a googleguru X.x

There's 3 lands. Cantha main, kurzick echoval forests and the luxon jade sea.

A guild can be either luxon or kurzick. Each and every member of this guild can be whatever he wants.
If the guild is luxon and a player is kurzick then he'll have a little bit of trouble teaming up with his luxon guildmembers.
Merchants won't talk to you if your team is mixed kurzick/luxon (the ones outside, don't know about inside)

I believe you can switch sides by having more faction for that side.

Have 300 luxon faction and want to go kurzick? Lose the 300 luxon faction or get 301 kurzick faction to join kurzick. (not sure about this)

THe only big impact it has is the story itself. The story splits at one point so you can choose to go either way.

Other than that, I think it's annoying.
